This painting of Antibes Bay in the evening is, until sold, available for exhibition.

Developed from a location study I still have, this exceptional painting combines a number of techniques, including abstract passages, spatula work and on closer inspection, fascinating precise detail so represents a fine example of the versatile artist’s work and at this price, a sound investment.

On the often shinning Cote d’Azur, ancient Antibes basks in a warm evening sun and hosts the Antibes Yacht Show.

Formerly a frontier town on the French boarder with Savoy, vulnerable to Arab pirates, the old fortifications are now ‘manned by’, open for tourists.

The port offers a ‘Millionaires Quay’ were you can see some of the largest superyachts, the largest deep water super yacht port east of Toulon on the French coast.
